The PopCykol Squad
Teressa founded PopCykol in February 2021. She discovered a gap in online safety and cybersecurity for kids and PopCykol fills that gap by bringing fun, engaging, informative digital safety content to kids. She brings together her talents as an award-winning children’s music artist, a master’s degree in anthropology and international development, and her experience as a cybersecurity expert to PopCykol. Teressa teaches security awareness to kids to get them interested in the field and ensure they build good online safety practices early.
In 2022, she was nominated for Cybersecurity Woman of the Year - Entrepreneur category by the United Cybersecurity Alliance. In March 2023, she was a keynote speaker at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. She continues to be an innovative leader within cybersecurity.
Kemi has been an integral leader with PopCykol. She is the creative force behind PopCykol’s branding. Her role with PopCykol is extensive and ranges from curriculum and web development, animations, illustrations, and graphic art. She strongly believes in the mission of PopCykol. Being cyber safe is crucial to the betterment of all. She is Teressa’s right-hand woman.
She is the owner and freelance artist of Vagabond Rebel Art Studios. She delivers numerous artistic and developmental services for personal and commercial use. She is dedicated to the creation of inspirational pieces to show versatility, motivation, creativity, and the works, regardless of the style or medium used.
Majarlika has over four years of experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, and social media content creation. Passionate about growing online communities, she focuses on boosting engagement, increasing follower count, and creating content that resonates with PopCykol’s audience. From crafting eye-catching posts to managing hashtags and tracking performance, she ensures all content aligns with PopCykol's brand.
